Delegates from over 40 countries gathered in Liverpool for a major development conference aimed at supporting and inspiring the RLIF membership.
As a part of the build up to Sunday’s Ladbrokes Four Nations Final between Australia and New Zealand, the RLIF and the RFL organized a conference for international visitors and for UK clubs.
In a varied programme, delegates heard from speakers covering several different backgrounds. Ian Drake from British Cycling outlined the gourmet undertaken by that organization to take them from a failing governing body to a “medal factory” and a governing body recognised world-wide for its good practice.
Olympic Rower, Ben Hart-Davis MBE spoken inspirationally about his journey to become a gold medalist. All as a result of a clear vision and no compromise in seeking that goal.
There was also a series of workshops where industry experts lead discussions aimed at supporting clubs and international bodies to maximize their performance.
